Reverse Engineered Trencher Sprocket for Gough CAT

In August 2018 Gough CAT called on Track to manufacture a new sprocket for a Trencor chain trencher. The original was extremely worn and while OEM replacements were available, the cost and lead time for one was considered unacceptable.

This was a typical reverse engineering task, with measurements taken from the original sprocket and trenching machine, working drawings & CAD models created, appropriate material selected and then finally machining the sprocket.
